The Canadians will suffer gas attacks, infested trenches, misery. Yet through it all the Canadian Expeditionary Force will prove to be the fighting force - and Canada will earn its place as a signatory to the Treaty of Versailles. This edition of our signature Northwest Europe tour features the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Holland. It will be a truly very special time of commemoration, and celebration, in all parts of Holland.
The liberation of Holland was brought about primarily by the Canadians, a monumental effort of service and sacrifice in the pursuit of democracy & freedom. In the meantime, the Dutch royal family found refuge in Ottawa, where Princess Margriet was born in 1943. The Dutch people have never forgotten, and 75 years later you will become part of this enduring connection between our two nations.
