Germany … a nation that has given us greatness in the form of Einstein, Beethoven, the jet engine, beer and picturesque Rhine castles – is equally remembered for Hitler and the devastation of Europe.
What was life like under Nazi rule and how did it all happen? Explore the dichotomy that is Germany. Venture into the majestic mountain scenery of the upper Rhine, and walk the romantic Baltic seaside. Visit cities that bore the weight of the bombing campaign, and ponder the despair of those who suffered in the infamous camps such as Dachau and Nordhausen.
